My name is Adrian Collins. In 1974 started an apprenticeship as a Musical Instrument maker. I had to work to a very high standard using exotic hardwoods and metals (including goldleaf) the work was so specialised we even had to make our own tools. Moving on, and in 1980 I moved to the Motor trade and was taught how to be a Panel beater and Paint sprayer. The small company I worked for repaired all sorts of different vehicles, ranging from racing cars to Morris Minors. I also had my own business repairing and respraying motorbikes. Through the 90s I had spells in Motor trade management and freelancing as a panel beater Then in 1998 I started up Riktig. As my wife is Norwegian, and I have a great love of that country and its people I used a Norwegian name "riktig" it means correct or right. I felt this summed up the business....to put things right. Over the past 10 years I have carried out repairs and refurbishment work for private customers and for major house builders including Kingsoak, David Wilson and Barratts.
